Burwell is like living inside your own park. The property is located adjacent to 120 acre Big Willow park, with views of wet lands, large trees and endless wildlife. Burwell Dr is also steps away from Minnehaha Creek, which runs through the park reserve.  In my time here, I’ve seen deer, wild turkey, pheasant, ducks, fox, coyote, owls (who lightly serenade you at night with the windows open) and unlimited birds of every stripe.  Each year I think I can’t possibly see something new and I always do!  There are no street lights on Burwell.  This means very little light pollution and lends to the feeling of being in the country. Very peaceful, serene, and bucolic, a great suburban oasis. While it feels remote, it is less than fifteen minutes from downtown Minneapolis, and only a block away from an organic coffee shop, and great new gourmet restaurant called “Station Pizzeria.” This restaurant comes from the same business owners who brought us 112 Eatery, Bar La Grassa, and Birch, all first-class dining establishments in Minneapolis.

In my 14 years on Burwell Dr, the street has turned over very little, and our resident population is very stable. People tend to move in and stay long-term here, mainly because of the incredible setting they find themselves in. Within weeks, you’ll know all your neighbors names and they will know yours, everyone is very friendly.  Homeowners on Burwell Dr tend to watch out for each other, lending additional security to the neighborhood.  We love our privacy and tranquility and work hard to guard it!
