Complete privacy and serenity are the key features of our property that we have enjoyed most while living at 908 Parkview Lane in Victoria. Whether having a pool party, family gathering, or a bonfire with friends, we can always socialize in complete peace, without disturbing or seeing the neighbors. Having four children, we have truly maximized the use and enjoyment of our outdoor amenities. On Sunday afternoons, we used to spend the entire day lounging with our kids at our pool, where we could dive, play games in the shallow section, or just float around. Other times, lounging by the pool with a Mojito in hand, we would just sit back and take in the beautiful nature and wildlife all around us. On many summer nights, we grilled dinner outdoors, conversed around the fire pit, and then soaked in the hot tub. It is amazing what we learned from our children just sitting in the hot tub and talking away!

We built the pool and guest house instead of getting a cabin up North. It allowed us to have weekends with family and friends without having to travel or do extra yard work. Instead, the focus could be on family and truly enjoying our home. The property really feels and lives like a vacation resort or weekend getaway. The kids loved having a spectacular outdoor pool. They had friends over to swim almost every weekend, playing water volleyball, having diving contests, and having bonfires in the fire pit, which is elevated and overlooks the pool area. The guest house is perfect for entertaining. And everything is very low-maintenance. The property is large but our experience is that it was extremely easy to care for. All the landscaping is maintenance-free. The lights are on timers and can be controlled from the main house. And all the pool needs is to be opened and closed in the spring and fall, respectively. Another activity that we loved to do while living at 908 Parkview Lane was bike riding. The Luce Line trail is adjacent to the back of our property. We frequently hopped on the trail system and biked to Dairy Queen in Victoria, and to Adele’s Custard in Excelsior. There are many miles of trails in the Carver Park Reserve, with easy access from the corner of Park Drive and Parkview Ln.

The main house looks so beautiful in the winter, and was always fully decorated at Christmas time. With the fireplace going, we always sat in the family room and watched the snow fall from the oversized two-story windows, highlighted by the landscaped lights that uplight the scenery. When snow covering the trees, 908 Parkview looks like a winter wonderland! On rainy days, we played billiards in the recreation room, or watched movies in the family room with fireplace downstairs. The bar area is perfect for serving cocktails and appetizers while watching the Vikings or Wild games with friends and family. What a treat! 908 Parkview has been such a wonderful family home for many years. We hope your family will be able to enjoy it as much as we have, and take advantage of all it has to offer!
