Edina Country Club Neighborhood

Like Rolling Green, Hilldale, and Parkwood Knolls, the Country Club Neighborhood of Edina is one of the most exclusive, beautiful neighborhoods in the entire city and region. The Country Club Neighborhood is a Heritage Preservation District, with 90% of the 555 homes there being constructed between 1924-1944. That designation means that no changes can be made to any façade visible from the street (including garages) without city approval. It also means unless structurally substandard, homes cannot be torn down in the district. This preservation status has helped to maintain a variety of historic housing styles in the neighborhood, and maintain its historic appearance and charm on every block. Because of the authenticity of the styles preserved here, the Country Club District was added to the National Park Service’s Register of Historic Places in 1980. When you view all the different, well-preserved homes, and walk down the undulating, tree-lined streets with wide sidewalks and parking on only one side of the street, you will grasp why this neighborhood is so beloved and special. Finally, Edina Country Club is flanked by three wonderful, bucolic neighborhoods, including the White Oaks, Morningside, and Arden Park
