Morningside

An historic, very special place to call home!

Welcome to Morningside

The Morningside Neighborhood of Edina sits just north of both the Edina Country Club Neighborhood and the White Oaks Neighborhood. The Morningside Neighborhood developed in the 1930’s alongside the street car system that ran on 44th Street. Morningside developed in different eras, and so has many different housing options available. There are classic bungalows. There are 1950’s ramblers. There are old 1.5 story and two story homes. And, as with other walkable, beautiful, amenitized areas like the Arden Park Neighborhood and the Golf Terrace Heights Neighborhood, there are many new construction homes that have replaced older housing stock. Morningside is very walkable, with a near-complete sidewalk system, and features two wonderful parks, Kojetin Park (contemplative greenspace) and Weber Park (playgrounds, ballfields, warming hut). Weber Woods, once owned by the City of Minneapolis, may develop into a shared park and greenspace available, as it also has been, for walking dogs, observing nature, playing games, and building forts. Even though located in Northeast Edina, Morningside is within the Highlands Elementary School boundaries, a very popular Edina school. The Morningside Neighborhood of Edina also sits within a short walk or bike ride to excellent neighborhood retail and restaurant options at both 44th & France and 50th & France. Morningside is a tight-knit neighborhood, with many residents actively involved in a number of local and city-led initiatives. The family-friendly, neighborly element of Morningside is what makes it so special, along with the many location amenities mentioned above. An historic, very special place to call home!
