Chowen Park

A collection of homes bordering Minnehaha Creek.

Welcome to Chowen Park

The Chowen Park Neighborhood of Edina is a collection of homes bordering Minnehaha Creek, adjacent to both the Creek Knolls Neighborhood and Strachauer Park Neighborhood. Chowen Park is laid out in a classic 50’s grid pattern, and consists mainly of 1940’s and 1950’s ramblers and 1.5 story homes. However, as with many areas of Northeast Edina, Chowen Park is changing over, and there are numerous in-fill new construction homes that have been built throughout the area, mostly in the $1,300,000-$1,700,000 range. Because of this dynamic, Chowen Park remains both an affordable, entry-level neighborhood for many households, and an upper bracket neighborhood for those looking for 4,000+ sf new construction homes with modern features and amenities. Chowen Park is served by two wonderful parks: York Park (north end), which offers Creek access, playgrounds, and ballfields; and Chowen Park (west end), which has been nicely updated with a new playground in the last few years. The Chowen Park Neighborhood is conveniently located just a short car or bike ride away from 50th & France, Southdale, and Concord-Southview Campuses.
