The Creek Valley Neighborhood of Edina consists of two sections, both of which front on the Edina High School and Valley View Middle School campus. The western section, also known as Valley Estates, surrounds Creek Valley Elementary School and Park, loaded with generous greenspace and ballfields sloping down towards Minnehaha Creek. Valley Estates is laid out in a horseshoe pattern, and with few outlet streets, really functions as one great big cul-de-sac. For that reason, it is an excellent walking neighborhood. The eastern section of the neighborhood drops down on a single street off Valley View and dead-ends just below the high school, adjacent to lower fields and courts. As with the western side of Creek Valley, this side has benefitted from the new biking and walking trails installed as part of the 2017 Edina extension of the Nine Mile Creek Regional Trail, which connects to the Chain of Lakes and DT Minneapolis. Most importantly, as with Indian Hills, the Creek Valley Neighborhood offers unparalleled access to all three community schools: Creek Valley Elementary, Valley View Middle, and Edina High School, making it a great choice for Edina families with school-age children.
